What this bot is

A Telegram bot of the internship attendance system of the Faculty of Nursing, Kafr El Sheikh University. Its only job is to send you, once you have linked your own account, notices about your attendance: check-in and check-out confirmations, a reminder before check-in opens, and a notice when no check-in was recorded for a shift you were rostered on. It is not used for advertising and shares nothing with any third party.

How linking works

Linking starts in the app, by you alone: Profile → Link Telegram gives you a one-time code that opens the bot with /start. The code is valid for minutes, used once, then deleted. The bot cannot message anyone who has not linked their account.

What the bot stores

• Your Telegram chat id and the display name your account shows — what makes sending you messages possible, tied to your account in the system.
• The messages sent to you (check-in and check-out times, the shift and the hospital), kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically.
• Your preferences: which kinds of notices you want, and whether you stopped the bot.
• When you share your location with the bot (where the faculty enables check-in by location): the coordinates are used to record your check-in or check-out under the same rules as the app and are kept on the record as an app check-in’s location would be, marked as coming through Telegram. A refused location is not kept.
• When you open the app from inside Telegram (the “Check in” button): Telegram sends the server your account id and name, signed, so it can verify it is you and open the app as your linked account. Nothing new is stored beyond what is already kept (the chat id and the name); the audit trail notes the sign-in came through Telegram. Attendance itself — face and location — is recorded inside the app as usual and never passes through Telegram.

The bot does not store what you write: anything you send is read as a command (such as /today), answered, and not kept. It never receives your phone number, your contacts or anything from your other chats.

Who sees this data

Only the faculty's internship office, inside the same attendance system that already holds your attendance record. Messages travel over Telegram's servers under Telegram's privacy policy.

How to stop it

Send /stop to the bot at any time: messages stop at once and your account stays linked, so /start brings them back with no new code. To unlink for good — removing your chat id from the system — use “Unlink” in the app (Profile → Notifications). You may also block the bot in Telegram. Deleting your account in the system deletes the link with it.

Commands

• /today — today's shift and where it stands · /week — next week's shifts · /month — your record this month
• /notify — what reaches you, with on/off buttons (a press is read as a command and not stored)
• /stop — pause messages (/start resumes)
• /help — the list of commands · /chatid — this chat's id
• Office accounts have further commands (/digest, /absent, /late, /now, /find, /stats) that answer only within the account's reach and privileges on the platform.
